Scavenger Hunt (photo-heavy post)
NicoleB (in Hungary) is hosting a photo scavenger hunt contest on her blog. Participants from 9 countires had a couple weeks to tour their neighborhoods and capture photos of 25 items that tell a little bit about the areas they live in. I was really inspired by the list to be able to show more about the new place I’m living. You can see other participants and even vote for your favorite at Nicole’s website. I’m sorry for cramming these all into one post, but here goes…this is Brussels, Belgium.

Nice job on the hunt! I’m impressed with your shots. Is that sewing machine one of those fancy Brother ones that does custom embroidery? My mother in law has one of those and they are rather awesome.

perfect shot of the Heron. I saw 8 of them flying on Friday when I was taking my daily walk. They must have been looking for nesting ground.

I’ve been trying to pick my favorite shot from each entry, and the “night sky” shots seem to always catch my attention. Yours did too — what a view!
There’s also something about your Local Transportation shot that grabs me, but I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is. I just know I like it.
