We’re finally all moved into our little apartment.
This is the entry hall as seen from the kitchen. The collage over the chair is photos from our first year together. The framed prints are some of our nature photos – though we really need to switch out some for some of our newer favorites.
We chose the smaller of the two bedrooms for our bedroom. It’s a tight squeeze, but the big bedroom went to our computers and crafts – where we spend most of our time, awake at least. This is looking down the hall from the computer/craft room toward our bedroom. The other door is the bathroom with the shower/tub.
Things need to be kept cleaner here. I’m learning how easily the dust collects on the hardwood and tile floors. And I now make the bed everyday – I’ve never done that before in my life. The wardrobe at the end of our bed is a bit bulky, but it’s not even half the size of our old walk-in closets.
This is the view from our bedroom. I watch the birds in the trees – mostly magpies and doves – but we’ve seen a few others too. And I love hearing the church bells from a couple streets over ring every morning at 8AM as the sun rises. They also ring at noon and 7PM.
Quite a change from our old house and our old bedroom…

I grew up in one of those tiny apartment rooms and I shared it with my sister too. It never occur to me that it is tiny. Only after we lived in the US, I realized how little it was and how ok we were with that. What amazes me the most is, how we had enough space for everything we needed for life.
Great view from the bedroom.

I think it is very pretty. The bright rooms are uplifting, and the lack of clutter is refreshing. You and Thomas have done a great decorating job.
Nice photos! We definitely need to work out some sort of photo or wallhanging to go over our bed though. That room looks too lonely!

The small/big bedroom decision was made in our house too – small bedroom for sleeping, bigger one for office geeking. :)
