Fun! It's too bad that VW fabric from Heather Ross isn't in the right colors...it's so adorable

Here's a whipup post on t-shirt quilts from a while back: http://whipup.net/2007/08/12/if-youre-gonna-make-a-t-shirt-quilt/

fun! I made a t-shirt quilt about 8 years ago, but I totally botched it, so it's been sitting folded up in my basement forever. One day I will get around to remaking it.

Here's a helpful post from whipup on t-shirt quilts: http://whipup.net/2007/08/12/if-youre-gonna-make-a-t-shirt-quilt/

My vote is the fabric you have underneath now, sounds like a fun project. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

I made a t-shirt quilt a few years ago out of race t-shirts. I know *nothing* about sewing, but I used some instructions I found on the internet. Took them to the fabric store and found a wonderful salesperson who helped me get everything I needed. I did it while I was home for the holidays so that I could use my mom's sewing machine. It turned out great -- and that's me, again, with no sewing experience. You know what you're doing, so it should turn out great. :)

The one thing I've never done is actually "quilt" it, since I didn't want stitching going through all the shirts.

Here are some photos: http://www.saroy.net/gallery/v/fal03/fal03_quilt/
