Curious Bird‘s Color Week finishes up with blue. This is my 1971 VW Bus – it fades from light blue to dark blue. It was originally going to be sky blue with clouds fading into navy blue with stars, but I never got past the fade – long story. You can see more photos of my bus and it’s various paint jobs in this old post.
Just to finish up, Thanks Curious Bird! I had a great time participating, and even more, I enjoyed meeting some great new bloggers.

I was thinking there was an earlier paint job on the bus by you and your friends. Maybe I am remembering the other side of the bus. Really enjoyed today’s blog. Funny, I first had a typo and in rereading it I thought I was losing my marbles when I read “on the busby” in the middle of the sentence.
I passed by one of these the other day and couldn’t stop smiling at it. SO cool!

Your bus is cool :-)
You could still do the giant blades of grass and flowers…the blue would make a perfect sky for that.

Oh i just LOVE the blue bus!! My husband and I want to get one so badly and paint it that wonderful light blue color! :) That’s so fun!
Do you take it camping and stuff?! We’d love to throw a mattress in the back and head for the hills!

my parents had one of those when I was growing up, we would take it camping, I would refuse to sleep in it due to the fact that I loved to look up and see the stars when camping.
I love that shot and have nothing but good memories of a bus like that growing up next to one!

Cool bus…takes me back to when I was child. A friend’s parents had one. Loved it!
I used to go around with a friend in one of these and you’ve painted this was one up nicely. Now you have to name it!
