Thomas and I used some Christmas money to get a wide angle lens – Sigma 10-20mm. We’ve been discussing what lens we’d like to add to our collection, and decided that this one would be great for traveling. We’re usually focused close up on animals, so this lens will help us get some landscape shots.

It arrived yesterday, and we tested it out around the house. Things appear in it a little stretched, as you can see in the shot of me – our table is not really that wide. And yes, our dinner wasn’t exciting, but I just wanted something fast. The field of view is amazing. In the photo of Thomas, you can see almost 180 degrees of our kitchen.

The lens fits on both of our cameras, so we’ll have to take turns using it, but hopefully by the end of this week, we’ll have something more interesting than I used in this post. It’s on his camera in the photo at the top — I took that using my new lightbox. :)
