Chipmunk in the Yard

Thomas refilled the birdfeeders on Sunday, so I took the opportunity to get some more bird shots. This weekend mostly had chipmunks and robins visiting.

The chipmunk was pretty cute. He’d dash from the bushes, up the tree, and to the feeder, until a bird came and scared him away. But then he’d do it all over again.

My other favorite shot of the weekend was this robin – he was so ruffley!  He kept poking his beak in his feathers, puffing them up.

Project365 – Week 8

Another week has gone by, and we’ve been busy with wedding stuff, as the photos below indicate. We now have all of our vendors taken care of, except flowers. Thomas has picked out the groomsmen outfits, and the bridesmaids have their dresses. My aunt is planning the Rehearsal Dinner for us. I’ve been working on wedding decorations, and Thomas is planning the honeymoon.

Here’s week 8 of my Project 365 photos:

Oriental Lily

Thomas got me some of my favorite flowers for Valentine’s Day – Lilies. I absolutely love the smell of these.

They opened up today, and so did my amaryllis that bloomed last year, so I played with the macro lens a bit. The depth of field sure is small – I could not get everything in focus all at once.

For these shots, I used a Micro 105mm lens, and a tripod. The lights were just from the overhead lamp.

Happy Valentine's Day

Today is our two month date until our wedding – yikes, so much to do. :)

Actually, I think we’re doing okay – I have wonderful friends that have offered a ton of times to help with whatever I need. We’ve finished the invites, and are now working on decorations. Hopefully, we’ll get the groomsmen outfits taken care of this weekend.

For Valentine’s Day, Thomas made me Chinese dumplings and rice. It was pretty tasty.

Hope you had a Happy V-day!
