Sunday was my 28th birthday, and it was great! I heard from friends near and far, my family, my future-family, and even a couple people who came out of the shadows to wish me Happy Birthday. Thanks everyone! To celebrate, Thomas organized dinner with a few of our local friends at Joe’s Crab Shack. I can’t believe 18 people showed up. It was alot of fun and hopefully, he’ll post photos soon.
It was also a productive weekend. I finished painting the master bedroom, and we picked the bus up from the shop. Yay, it runs again. At the last minute, I was invited to Jane’s Bridal shower, so while I was there, Thomas planted some burning bushes and forsythia in the backyard and bundled sticks.
Sunday afternoon, we scouted out Stone Mountain as an engagement photo location for this next weekend. We decided to go with it due to the openess and various photo possibilites. Thomas was weirded out by another couple doing engagement photos there – I didn’t know uniqueness was so important to him, especially since our photographer recommended the site after doing two other couples’ photos there.
Then we headed to Phipps Mall so I could get my birthday present – a good quality bra – at Intimacy. Intimacy is a store known for their custom sizing, and resizing of bras. They use European sizes and measure you by sight, but they claim a good bra will support you and not excentuate backfat. You can have the bra altered two times after purchasing it and if the straps lose elasticity, they’ll replace them.
As I suspected, I was wearing the wrong size. They say most women are wearing the wrong size. I was surprised that the underwire is not supposed to touch the breast, and how low on my back the strap is. The bras I picked out needed a little alteration (which they do for free), so I should get them in the mail next week.
After that, we headed to the group dinner.
